Made in NZ

LifeKeepers represents a bold step forward in suicide prevention unique to Aotearoa New Zealand. It combines an internationally proven, evidence-informed approach with local knowledge and experience, to provide a programme that is community focussed, clinically safe, and culturally responsive.

In developing LifeKeepers the Le Va team have consulted widely and received input from clinicians, academics in the field of suicide prevention, people with lived experience of attempting suicide, people who have lost loved ones to suicide, community leaders and cultural knowledge holders.

We’ve driven the design and delivery of LifeKeepers in collaboration with a range of partners and organisations, ensuring it works in a New Zealand context, and is part of a wider suite of national initiatives across government, and national suicide prevention services funded by Te Aka Whai Ora.
